LOWBOY LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

Must be from local area (Blackfalds) or ability to relocate.

The Lowboy Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and monitoring day to day activities related to job planning and execution. The successful individual must be well organized, great multitasking and prioritization capabilities. The individual must also support daily operations through processing, documents, recording information, importing/entering data, and maintain records while following company policies and procedures.

Key Objectives

  • Build positive, collaborative relationships with all points of contact and utilize available resources to successfully meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Act as a primary point of contact with Employee’s for daily work and ensure client order fulfillments. Monitor progress and execution of the work planed and adjust forecasting accordingly.
  • Journey Management Planning.
  • Permitting Experience.
  • Collaborate with Operations on issues encountered by the Employee, including routing, schedule, conflicts, and fleet contingency plans when required.
  • Collaborate with Management to update and provide feedback on day-to-day operations, employee shift activities, and achievements. Immediately notify Management of any safety, performance, and attendance issues or successes.
  • Proven customer-focused work style, with strong communication (verbal & written) and organization skills to meet our customer expectations.
  • Deliver on commitments with the ability to respond to customers needs effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with continuous change, requiring the ability to appropriately manage your time, while multitasking.
  • Persevering problem solver, adapt while troubleshooting and resolving issues and opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of applicable Employment Standards as it relates specifically to employee.
  • Professional and courteous conduct at all times representing the company at the highest standards.
  • All other relevant duties as required.

As a Class 1 Driver at Pidherney's Inc., you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining a variety of heavy trucks and wagons to transport gravel and other materials to and from job sites.

Experienced Staff Accountant

Job Description

As the Staff Accountant at Pidherney’s Inc., you will be involved in all aspects of our accounting department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and operations. You will play a key role in strategic decision-making and financial planning, working closely with ownership and senior management to drive the company's success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Post month-end accruals and adjustments and assist with the month-end close

Assist and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions

Assist with reviewing and implementing procedures within the accounting department

 

Qualifications:

Local to Central Alberta

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred

Proven experience (3-5 years) in accounting or finance roles

Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills, preference given to candidates with experience with Eclipse or other large accounting software and database programs

Full cycle bookkeeping experience with smaller accounting software such as Sage and QuickBooks

CPA certification (or working towards) would be an asset but is not required

 

Benefits:

Competitive wage ranging from $35 to $45/hr
